With the soon demise of Saab its seems fitting to do a What’s It Worth on a classic Saab. In the old days Saab’s were always different. Even the Saab 900′s marched to a different drummer. Introduced in 1960 the Saab 96 was Saab’s first true sales succsess. When production ended Saab sold over 560,000 units worldwide. 
Powered by a two stroke three cylinder engine mounted longitudinally. The sport or Monte Carlo models got triple solex carbs with modified cylinder heads and a counterweighted cam. Power for these Monte Carlo models was a robust 57. Like all European cars of the era rust is an issue. Our feature car is a rust free Texas car that was subject to total body off restoration. Now that Saab is toast its going to be interesting to see what Saab values do. What’s it Worth??
